J E N  M A N I P S So this section is just for fun and is a result of my frustration with 1, how few real photoshoots we see Jen in compared to other cast member who we're OD'ing on lately, and 2, how badly styled Jen's hair often is or how WTF? her clothes are sometimes. It's intended to be funny and fun, and no offense is meant to Jen or the actresses I shamelessly manip her with. I'm also painfully aware of how bad some of them may be. Feel free to send chuckles along to me at katejones123@aol.com. : ) Bedhead I wish Jen would get a better haircut itself. She has such a beautiful face but her hair is always limp and in that same, plain cut she's always had. Except for season 3, but lets not mention that. I liked this pic because I think Jen is pretty with messy, fuller hair. I wish Jen would do more sexy photoshoots, too. Shaggy Cut I don't mind Jen with her blonde hair, but I just wish she'd add some low-lights. Right now, it's TOO blonde. It's like white, fake blonde. I chose this pic because it has blonde hair done right, IMO. A good mix of blonde and light brown, and a good cut. Jen needs body in her hair, big time! Short Style I think Jen could totally pull off a sexy shorter cut. She's got a great bone structure. But it would have to be something like a razor cut, like in this picture. She looks more sophisticated, I think. Richer Browns, Parted Down the Center I'd like to see her with a richer chocolate brown color instead of the almost black we had in season 1 and the almost red in season 2. It was a better color in season 3, albeit flat with almost no body and very plain and dull, but at least it was brown. The haircut was so bad, though. A more adult cut would be nice. Jen haircuts consistantly make her look 12 years old. Short Side Bangs (1) Somewhat similar to her hairstyle now, but the bangs are shorter. What I like here is the darker blonde. I think it works better for her skin tone. The bright blonde she's got now washes her out. Short Side Bangs (2) See notes above. Short Blonde I've always wanted to see her with short blond hair, a nicer cut than in Urban Legends, that is. I've tried it on a few different manips now and I'm surprised to see how much I don't like it. I really thought I would. Maybe it's just that the manips aren't good enough to be realistic. But I certainly didn't like how it looked on her here! Slightly Stacked Cut - Short Blonde 2 Admittedly a horrible manip. I must have tried 3 different Jen images on this to try and make it work...alas. You basically get the point, though. Short blonde, even polished and pretty, just doesn't work on her. Straight I like the severity of a stright, blunt cut on Jen. But I think it could look haggard sometimes, too, unless she kept it well maintained. Short Shag Not a great manip, but I love this hairstyle on so many people. I think it would look great on her, too! Wispy Black Cut I like the wispiness of this cut on Jen. I like the part on the left, too, with the pretty earring and dress. Why doesn't Jen get pretty dresses like this to wear in photoshoots of her alone? I think the last one was In Style in season 2. Grr. Straight w/ Bangs Bad manip, but I loved this haircut on the original person. I thought I'd like it on Jen but I really don't. I like that length but it's just too fine and thin for Jen. Jen needs body and fullness to her hair. Barbie This is what I call a 'Barbie' style. Not feeling it. I do love the white turtleneck on her. White looks fantastic on people with blonde hair.
